Terms of Service

ShossyWorks (“the service”) is operated by Szostak Build, LLC, 310 1/2 W Franklin St, Chapel Hill, NC 27516 (“we”, “us”). By signing in or using the service you agree to these terms. If you use it on behalf of a company, you agree to them for that company.

Access is by invitation only. An administrator of your company creates your account and decides what you can see and do. Keep your sign-in details private: you are responsible for activity under your account. If you think it has been misused, tell us right away at zszostak@szostakdesign.com.

ShossyWorks helps you build estimates, keep project records and files, collect and compare vendor bids, send proposals to clients, and compare estimated costs with actual costs. We may add, change or remove features.

An administrator of your company may connect its QuickBooks Online account through Intuit’s own authorization screen. Once connected, the service reads accounting records, such as customers, vendors, accounts, items and expense transactions, to show job costs inside your company’s workspace.

The service only reads from QuickBooks. It does not create, change or delete anything in your books, and it never moves money. If a future feature writes to QuickBooks, it will stay off until an administrator turns it on.

You can disconnect at any time from Settings in ShossyWorks or from your Intuit account. Disconnecting stops all further access. Your use of QuickBooks remains subject to Intuit’s own terms.

You and your company own the information you put into the service and the data it reads from QuickBooks. You give us permission to store, process and display that information only as needed to run the service for you. We do not sell it or use it for advertising. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle it.

Don’t use the service to break the law, to reach information you aren’t authorized to see, to interfere with the service or its security, or to copy or reverse-engineer it.

The service calculates figures from the information you give it. Check estimates, bids, proposals and job-cost reports before you rely on them or send them to anyone.

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don’t promise that it will be uninterrupted or free of errors.

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue or data, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim about the service is limited to the amount you paid us for it in the twelve months before the claim, or $100 if you paid nothing.

Your company’s administrator can remove your access at any time. We may suspend or end access if these terms are broken, or to protect the service and the people who use it. To have your company’s information deleted, email us at zszostak@szostakdesign.com.

We may update these terms. When we do, we will change the effective date above. Using the service after an update means you accept the updated terms.

The laws of the State of North Carolina govern these terms, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute goes to the state or federal courts located in North Carolina.
